Plaid Cymru leader visits Radnor Hills
We were delighted to welcome Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth to our headquarters this week.
He joined Radnor Hills founder and CEO William Watkins, who is also President of the British Soft Drinks Association (BSDA), and BSDA Director General Andy Bagnall, on a tour of our manufacturing site.
He met with members of our 280-strong team of people and learned more about the company’s operations, our role in the local economy, and our exciting plans for future growth.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss industry-wide issues, including the proposed Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), its potential impact on Welsh drinks producers, and the need for clear, workable policy that supports environmental goals while enabling businesses to remain competitive and aligned with the rest of the UK.
Rhun ap Iorwerth said: “It was a pleasure to visit the Radnor Hills site in Knighton recently to see the work that goes into creating their excellent products, and to learn more about the business itself.
“It’s great to see a company rooted in Wales going from strength to strength and recognising the importance of hiring and upskilling local people at every opportunity, especially through apprenticeship schemes.”
