TREE AID and Radnor Hills – Our Story
For a long time we have been looking for a humanitarian and environmental charity to partner with our Fruit Juice Range Fruella and then we came across TREE AID an incredible charity that works to create thriving, sustainable communities throughout the isolated and remote regions of Africa. In Africa trees mean life, and a donation from every bottle of our Fruella juice sold will go towards planting trees that help provide vital food, tools, shade and money. TREE AID work with locally-based teams in the drylands of Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali and Niger and the isolated areas of Ethiopia, working with communities to build skills, knowledge and self-reliance.
We are really excited about our partnership with TREE AID as our soft drinks use a wide range of fruit from all over the globe, sustainable sourcing is important to us and we want to help plant more trees and give something back. The aim is to sell as many bottles of Fruella as possible so the more we sell the more good we do!
We have pledged to plant at least 8,000 trees this year and as we do TREE AID will continue to improve the lives of some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in Africa’s drylands. Together, we can empower the people we work with to have a reliable income and better nutrition, while improving the natural environment.
Radnor Hills are very proud to be supporting TREE AID and have pledged to donated a minimum of 1p per bottle sold.
TREE AID has helped more than 1 million people across Africa grow more than ten million
By 2022, TREE AID is aiming to:
• Plant almost six million trees across Burkina Faso, Ghana, Niger, Mali and Ethiopia
• Increase income for 15,000 households by 25%
• Be directly helping more than 300,000 households a year.
• Over the next 5 years TREE AID is planting a new tree every 30 seconds
